The Mountain is ideal for winter and summer vacationing!

Enjoy your vacation in our comfortable mountain chalet with great views of the Sierra Mountains and endless recreational opportunities at the doorstep.
The house was built in 1994, and has 2,000 square feet. The layout is "split level," with a master bedroom/bath and 2 secondary bedrooms, a central bath, and dining room, living room, and kitchen upstairs, and a second, very large master bedroom with a full bath downstairs. The upstairs bedrooms are configured with a king bed in the master, and queen beds in each of the other two rooms. The downstairs room, due to its large size, can serve as a combination of a bedroom/family room/playroom. It is a great area for the kids. This room has a queen futon bed and a queen futon couch. There is also a large 2-car garage.
Located in an attractive view setting in the Tahoe Donner resort, near Lake Tahoe, this vacation home chalet is just a 30 minute drive from Reno Airport, or 3 hours from the San Francisco Bay Area.

You can be in Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Royal Gorge for cross country skiing within 20-30 minutes. The location of Mountain Home is ideal for easy exit via Alder Creek Road toward Truckee and Reno. The Tahoe Donner ski resorts (downhill and cross country), and fitness and spa facilities are only a few minutes away.

Summertime offers access to golf at the Tahoe Donner golf courses, tennis, hiking, biking, access to Donner Lake (open only to Tahoe/Donner owners and renters) with all its water sports activities, and more. There are numerous spectacular hiking and mountain biking trails and rock climbing possibilities.

 


Mountain Home - kitchen

The home features wall-to-wall carpets and vaulted ceilings. Large windows, comfortable furniture, a gas fireplace, and decor will contribute to making your stay pleasant and memorable. The kitchen is well equipped with modern appliances. A gas-fired grill is available on the large front deck, and there is an additional large deck off the master bedroom. The Mountain Home invites a large family (up to 10) and is ideal for all-season enjoyment.
