Located on a knoll, yet near the ocean, this well-equipped home has unobstructed breath-taking panoramic ocean and coastal views over ocean meadows and signature Sea Ranch cypress hedge rows. The elevated location of Bella Vista is unique to Sea Ranch: it offers the advantages of expansive views usually found only from hill-side locations, while the home is actually situated on the ocean (west) side of coastal Highway One, quiet, well shielded from highway noise, and without traffic between the home and the ocean bluffs.

Rent Bella Vista

The living/dining room of Bella Vista has six 4 1/2-foot high windows and a sliding glass door with a combined total width of 49 feet (15 m), all offering spectacular ocean views. The house features terracotta tiles and rough cedar walls in all rooms except the bedrooms; warm and decorative lighting, comfortable furniture, and a central forced-air heating system - augmented by heat radiated from the desirable wood-burning stove. The living room features a mezzanine with a German Grotrian-Steinweg piano. A hot tub, in private ocean-side setting, is built into the deck off the master bedroom. The BA of second MBR suite has a jacuzzi tub. The kitchen is well equipped with high quality modern appliances, such as a silent Bosch dishwasher, a Jennair range, and a side-by-side refrigerator with outside ice/water dispenser. While you are preparing your meals, you will enjoy the magnificent, unobstructed ocean and coastal views.
Due to the split-level floor plan, Bella Vista is not suited for wheelchairs.

We will decline any rental request if adherence to our restrictions appears uncertain.
Owners will assess a minimum $600 fee for non-compliance with the no pets, no smoking, and/or no partying restriction.

Bella Vista Location:  Commanding Views

"Bella Vista" (red marker) is  located on a knoll ,   significantly above   all homes between it and the ocean and   looks over the rooftops   of those homes which are mostly behind vegetation. (The map gives a totally inadequate impression of this because it does not convey elevation contours). The view onto Leeward Road is blocked by topography, the houses at Starboard and Wild Sweep are significantly below and mostly blocked by vegetation; the houses along Helm and Del Mar are behind cypress trees, and the houses near the bluff are   not impeding the expansive ocean vistas  . Houses at Sea Ranch are typically desirable for their ocean views when they are located near the ocean bluff or on the hillside. Disadvantages of hillside locations are distance to the ocean bluff and the coastal highway below in front. Bella Vista combines the attractiveness of hillside views and location west of Highway One, much closer to the ocean bluff. It is located on a knoll, about 80 ft above Leeward Road and the developments in the ocean meadow below. Bella Vista offers majestic views above rooftops of the ocean and coastal bluffs up and down the coast. Highway 1 cannot be seen from Bella Vista, and 200 feet distance, berms and rich vegetation shelter from any and all traffic noises.  The access road to Bella Vista, “Tallgrass,” ends in a cul-de-sac and sees essentially no traffic, and Leeward Road blow, on its ocean side, is private and carries only scarce Sea Ranch-internal residential traffic.  A 5-min walk takes you to the bluff-top trail which is about 400 yards away.
