Rental and Pricing Information
for Casa de Luz

Brazilian Reais (R$) is lead currency. US$ pricing may vary depending current exchange rate (we present approximate values based on 5 R$ per 1 US$).
Monthly rate is extremely favorable. Upon booking of 14 nights, we add 16 nights at no additional charge.

R$ 220 (US$ 44) Nightly Rate, single occupancy
R$ 2,900 (US$ 580) Monthly rate, single occupancy

Surcharge per night for each additional person (4 people max.): R$ 20 (US$ 4)
or surcharge per month for each additional person: R$ 200 (US$ 40)
Housekeeping charge per week: R$ 150 (US$ 30)
Management Fee (applies to each rental): R$ 400 (US$ 80)

A refundable Security/Damage Deposit in the amount of R$750 (US$150) is required when invoiced.

We use a personalized reservation process; all details are handled via e-mail. A Down Payment (US$150 or R$750) will hold a reservation. The balance can be paid by Zelle or check (U.S. bank only) or via funds transfer to our bank account in Germany, or it can be arranged for cash payment upon arrival).

RENTAL PROVISIONS:

• 7 NIGHTS MINIMUM RENTAL PERIOD (exceptions considered)

• SWIMMING POOL ONLY FOR RENTING GUESTS

• MAXIMUM 4 OCCUPANTS (incl. children)

• NO CHILDREN under 9 years of age (safety concerns)

• NO ANIMALS

• SMOKING OR VAPING only ok on outside terraces/verandas

Cancellation Policy:

• Rescission with full refund: within 48 hours from time of reservation

• More than 60 days prior to arrival: 100% refund, less US$80 (R$400) cancellation fee

• Between 60 and 30 days prior to arrival: you forfeit Down Payment

• Within 30 days of your check-in date: no guaranteed refund

• Shortening stay after check-in: no guaranteed refund

• Courtesy concessions: if we are able to find a suitable replacement rental tenant, we typically refund all monies paid, less a US$80 (R$400) service fee. Furthermore, we will certainly work with Guests when cancellation is due to documented serious illness. If the actual exchange rate (https://www.oanda.com/currency-converter/ or equivalent) on the date of payment deviates by more than about 5% from 5R$/US$, we will adjust our pricing in US$ or euros accordingly.
