Keys - Keyless Entry System, Safe Box

The house has a SCHLAGE keyless entry system at the front door. The buckle will normally turn freely. Upon entry of the correct code,* it will engage with the dead bolt, which can then be turned to open (or close).

Them code to will be provided to our guests as part of the Arrival Information about ten days prior arrival. First push the upper ("SCHLAGE") button; the keys will then be illuminated. Enter the code and turn the knob clockwise to open the dead bolt.*

To lock, simply push the "Schlage" button and turn knob counter-clockwise to drive the dead bolt.

There is also a conventional key lock box. It contains a mechanical door key which can be used in case the keyless entry system malfunctions. The lock box is mounted at eye level on the house wall to the left of the front door. You should have no need to ever use that key; but if you do, do not forget to place that key back into the lock box before your departure. We charge a flat $50 fee toward your Security Deposit if a key is missing.

There are also two conventional-type garage door key pad openers, operable with the same code. Open the lid, key in the code and press "enter" or "send," or "0" and the door will open. IMPORTANT: CLOSE THE LID AFTERWARDS, or the battery will be quickly depleted. Please do not attempt to re-program these openers. This would impair our own programming. We have remote openers in the house for you to use during your stay.

Also, we provide a hotel-type safe box for our guests' convenience. The code will be communicated in the Arrival information package.

* Note: if a wrong code is entered several times within a minute or two, the system will freeze, and nothing will work for about 15 minutes.
