Sauna

Alta Vista has a dry sauna, which is accessible from the garage. The circuit breaker to the sauna is clearly marked. Set the temperature dial to no more than 95% to prevent overheating. If overheating did occur, find the re-set button at the bottom (center) of the heater unit in the sauna. There is a small fan which helps prevent overheating.* Make sure to turn it off after use.

Please note:
— Set the timer to about 45 min -- it takes about 30 min to heat up the sauna.
— DO NOT ENTER THE SAUNA WITH SHOES.
— DO NOT (TRY TO) USE/GENERATE STEAM. This is a dry sauna.
— Please use common-sense cleanliness measures customarily adhered to in saunas; always sit on a towel.

* If the sauna does not heat, there may be two causes:
— check if the circuit breaker is on (by the entry door from the garage to the house)
— It may have been over-heated during the last use. This may happen when the temperature setting for prolonged use is 95 degrees (C) or higher.
