Bedding, Linen, Towels
Casa Pacis has two bedrooms and two baths:
— one master bedroom
(with CA-King bed and small en-suite bath);
— and the “Front Room”
(with a single “twin” bed *** and bath across the hallway).
The Loft is accessible but not part of the rented space.*
We provide linen and towels for our renters.** The King bed is made upon arrival.
The T-bed in the Front Room is normally configured as sofa. ***
Guests are requested NOT to make any bed they used for sleeping. This is to ascertain that our housekeepers know unquestionably which linens to launder.****

When you arrive,
find the CA-King bed made up as follows:
— Over the mattress pad and fitted sheet find a cozy, warm duvet in a white linen duvet case
— Above that is the decorative bedspread with two big and two small decorative pillows.
— There are two medium soft sleeping pillows and several more in the closet.
Washing and drying is the single most time-consuming activity for our housekeepers. For each rental party, the fitted sheet, the duvet case, and the white pillow cases are freshly laundered. We ask to please NOT use the decorative bedspread and pillows for sleeping but remove those upon arrival and deposit them in the closet (and leave them there when you depart).
Since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic, we have actually recommended that, if not too inconvenient, guests bring their own sleeping comforters from home, and then also remove the duvet assembly and place it, unused, in the wardrobe. See here for details.

* Twin mattress beds in the loft are not for renters’ use.
** We provide, as "regular rental allotment," the linens that are on the beds upon arrival of the guests, as well as one large towel, one hand towel, and one wash towel per renter per rental period. However, there are additional supplies in the closets. As a courtesy, our renting guests are welcome to make use of those additional supplies, but they are then REQUESTED to complete the washing/drying cycle with those additionally used supplies before departure.
*** The twin bed in the Front Room in Casa Pacis is not intended for primary use as guest bed. We rent the home for two people only and assume that they will use the master bedroom with the King bed and will not expect this T-bed to be a large, comfortable sleeping accommodation. Instead, the T-bed is normally made up as a sofa upon arrival, and guests who choose to use it for sleeping may help themselves with the bedding supply we have in the wardrobe (or bring what they need from home).
**** Furthermore, we will greatly appreciate it if our guests give our housekeepers a head start by washing the towels and linens of their regular rental allotment. You could simply put them into the washing machine and start the washing cycle at breakfast time and, perhaps, move them into the dryer before you depart. (W&D are in the right garage; code to get in is same as house code).
